Somatic Regulation Therapy

Somatic Regulation Therapy with Dr Shofna Aziz

Somatic Regulation Therapy is a targeted body-based approach designed to support the release of chronic tension, persistent discomfort, and the physical effects of prolonged stress.

Many symptoms we experience are not isolated issues, but reflect patterns held within the body over time.

Drawing from both modern behavioural science and principles found in Eastern medicine, this work supports the body in returning to a more balanced, regulated state.

When the Body Has Been Carrying Too Much

You may appear to be functioning well, yet still notice:

• Ongoing tension in the neck, shoulders, or jaw

• Fatigue or low energy

• Digestive discomfort or bloating

• Hormonal imbalance

• A sense of pressure or tightness in the body

In many cases, these are not simply physical issues.

They can reflect a system that has adapted to prolonged stress and has not fully returned to ease.

The Approach

Sessions are hands-on and tailored to your individual presentation.

The work integrates:

• Myofascial (fascia) release

• Structured pressure techniques

• Dry cupping

• Heat therapy

• Facial and jaw release

This approach is influenced by Eastern perspectives of the body as an interconnected system, where physical, emotional, and energetic patterns are closely linked.

The aim is not only to relieve symptoms, but to support deeper regulation and restoration.

What Clients Commonly Experience

• Reduction in chronic tension and pain

• Increased mobility and physical ease

• Improved energy levels

• Relief from stress-related symptoms

• Greater calm and emotional steadiness

As the body begins to release long-held patterns, clarity and resilience often return alongside physical change.
