Hi, my name is Hazel and I am the founder of the Hazel Meacher Acupuncture and Wellness Clinic in Berkhamsted, Herts.

My background is in Midwifery, where I had a successful career working clinically at various local NHS trusts in Herts and Bucks. I latterly worked as a Research Midwife for the University of Oxford within the John Radcliffe Hospital conducting various studies looking at problems in pregnancy, such as pre-eclampsia and small babies.

It was whilst I was doing these research studies that I first came across acupuncture, as women were using it as a therapy during their pre-conception and pregnancy journeys. I decided to find out a bit more about it, and ultimately made the decision to train in it myself. I started this training in 2005 at the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, and qualified 4 years later with a BSc(Hons) in Chinese Medicine. I subsequently did post graduate training at Guangzhou Hospital in China and am continuously updating my knowledge and training.

I have worked as an acupuncturist in Berkhamsted since 2009 and in 2020 set up my own Clinic specialising in Women’s Health in this quiet Mews off the High Street in Berkhamsted, Herts.
